چکیده
By the methods of mathematical three-dimensional modeling, features distribution electric and thermal fields in volume molten alloy foundry hypoeutectic silumin A356, when it is treated with an current by parallel electrodes, are established. It was found that geometry electrode system qualitatively quantitatively determines effect electrothermal on melt treatment direct current. demonstrated depth deepening electrodes a non-insulated lateral surface does not have active influence temperature processes during conduction treatment. The obtained qualitative quantitative data for systems correspond to experimental data. shown change spatial arrangement isolated significantly affects as well quantitative, more than thrice, characteristics these melt. method controlling conductive melts, based type system, require additional financial costs can be carried out directly

Grafting of Acrylamide to Low Density Polyethylene During Melt Processing
Acrylamide was grafted in low density polyethylene during melt processing in the presence of a free radical initiator using a torque rheometer in a closed system. Effects of processing time, acrylamide and benzoyl peroxide concentrations were studied. FTIR studies revealed that the degree of grafting increased by an increase in acrylamide concentration. Maximum grafting was obtained at 7 mi...
متن کاملThermal to Electric Energy Conversion
As research in the area of excess power production moves forward, issues associated with thermal to electric conversionbecome increasingly important. This paper provides a brief tutorial on basic issues, including the Carnot limit, entropy, and thermoelectric conversion. Practical thermal to electric conversion is possible well below the Carnot limit, and this leads to a high threshold for self...
متن کاملthree-dimensional modeling and simulation of ohmic heating of processing in a two-phase food system
the basis of the ohmic heating process is the transmission of alternating electric current through multi-phase solutions that is followed by heat generation due to particle resistance to the transmitted electric current. throughout the present study, simultaneous transfer of heat and electricity was modeled in a two-phase system of solid-liquid food to investigate the critical factors affecting...

متن کاملElectrostatic vibration-to-electric energy conversion
Ultra-Low-Power electronics can perform useful functions with power levels as low as 170 nW. This makes them amenable to powering from ambient sources such as vibration. In this case, they can become autonomous. Motivated by this application, this thesis provides the necessary tools to analyze, design and fabricate MEMS devices capable of electrostatic vibration-to-electric energy conversion at...
